Learning about geographic information
Last spring, I took the class ‘Methods of Physical Planning’ offered at DAAP School of Planning. This was my first use of maps and geographic information systems (GIS) as research tools and methods of understanding communities.
For this class, I worked with Richa Rimal, a talented Master of Community Planning student (check her LinkedIn profile) analyzing Carthage, a neighborhood in the north part of Cincinnati with a high concentration of Hispanic population.
These boards are the visual result of our project.
